While still in the military, he became certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology (head and neck surgery). After his honorable discharge, Dr. Tzikas continued to expand his knowledge of facial cosmetic surgery and received additional certification from the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
