Vascular Laser Treatment Candidates

You should be in good overall health to be considered a suitable candidate for vascular laser treatment. During a private consultation with Kate Goldberg Hill, APRN, or Iliana Tzikas, PA-C, you will discuss your goals for vascular laser treatment and determine whether vascular laser treatment is compatible with your skin history, goals, and more. 

The Vascular Laser Treatment Procedure

Before your vascular laser treatment, all make-up and skin care products should be removed from the skin. One of our providers will give you protective eyewear to wear while your procedure occurs. Vascular laser treatment focuses the beams of light on the red blood cells trapped inside the veins, heating them and breaking down the visible veins. This reduces the appearance of unwanted vascular lesions. 

Vascular Laser Recovery

After your treatment, you may experience some bruising, redness, swelling, and itching. Additionally, your skin may feel similar to a sunburn, but this sensation typically subsides within an hour post-treatment. These temporary side effects are common and usually mild and short-lived as part of the natural response to the treatment.

During the recovery period, it is crucial to avoid sun exposure due to increased sensitivity of your skin. Kate Goldberg Hill, APRN, or Iliana Tzikas, PA-C, will provide detailed aftercare instructions that should be strictly followed. Results from the treatment typically develop between two and six weeks after your treatment, with the full results expected to appear within one year. Adhering to post-treatment care instructions is essential for optimal outcomes.
